Step 4 Fill out new page form.Once you click that link or icon you'll be brought to the new page form. There are 3 important fields to fill out.
The Link Name is a descriptive name for the web page you're about to create. If you look at the navigation menu to the left you'll notice link names like: Home, Add a Web Page.. ect. In fact you probably clicked on a link named 'Add a Web Page' to get here.
In our example we'll use 'first time' as our link name.
1. Link Name
The Web Page File Name can be almost anything. It has to be unique, meaning, you can't have 2 identical Web Page File Names and you shouldn't put punctuation in it. To help search engines 'like' your webpage, it can be helpful to name your file so it describes what your page is about.
In our example we'll use 'this is my first web page' as our web page file name.
2. Web page File Name:
Show Link in Navigation tells the CMS whether or not you want to instantly publish your webpage to the world. The default is NO. The reason for this is so you do not accidently publish an empty web page to the internet. A common mistake is to create your webpage, add some content and then wonder why it's not on the website. It's not there because you haven't published it yet. We recommend keeping the default at no.
The rest of the options are set by default. You can play with these as you wish. If you have questions on anything we'll explain them to you in detail once you order.
Step 5 Click [submit] button.Scroll down to the bottom of the form and click on the [submit] button. You've just created your first web page. While these steps may seem daunting as you read this, it really is only about 15 seconds of typing.Step 6 Add content to empty web page.Once your webpage has been created you be brought to your empty webpage in the admin panel, you'll need to add something to it. You have options. The most commonly used option is words and images. Use the drop down menu at the top right to add a text module. We'll select 'Words and Images' from the drop down menu and then click the [to first time Page Now] link.
Step 7 Click submit. After you click the [to first time Page Now] link, you'll be brought to the online editor which will allow you to write content and insert images.
click submit when you are done writing.
Step 8 Publish hidden web page.Your web page is still unpublished. You need to publish it to the web site now. All you need to do is click on the iMakeSense Logo at the top left to get back to the main admin panel. On the panel to the right you'll notice a white box containing your web page with a link that says [publish]. click the publish link. Now your webpage is live on the Internet!
