WYSIWYG editing.. What You See Is What You Get
If you've already been poking around then you've already seen the WYSIWYG editor. These editors allow normal folks to create and maintain webpages without having to know too much HTML.
If you haven't taken a peek yet, you'll need to login in first and then come back to this page. Once you are logged in, follow these instructions.
1. click on the [pencil] icon above to get to the editor.
2. if you've clicked the pencil icon, right now you should be in the Admin panel looking at the instructions in the editor.
3. You'll notice that the words on the web page are now in this funny little editor. And that when you type it looks like a normal document.
Go ahead and type something in the editor here:
That's WYSIWYG. If you wish to see what WYSIWYG doesn't look like, click on the [html Code] tab just below. You'll notice all the words you see here plus all the HTML markup tags.
This is alot easier to read isn't it? |
